The Naas, Gudgenby and Paddys River catchments are among the largest sources of sediment and pollutants entering the upper Murrumbidgee. Work here focuses on stabilising eroding stream banks, excluding stock from waterways and replanting riparian vegetation, delivered in partnership with landholders. Eleven landholders in the Naas and Gudgenby catchments have taken part so far, with 11 erosion sites treated, 34 hectares of woody weed control, 14.4 hectares of riparian planting, 5.7 kilometres of stock exclusion fencing and three off-stream watering points completed. A catchment plan for Paddys River will be developed in 2026-27 to guide future work.
